Renowned animation studio Mackinnon & Saunders (Corpse Bride, Fantastic Mr Fox, Pinocchio) celebrate their 30th year with this exhibition showcasing puppets and props from TV and film productions that feature work from the Altrincham-based model-makers and animators.

This Exhibition is in partnership with Manchester Animation Festival

The Lauriston programme, supported by Arts Council England, is dedicated to developing a home for contemporary photography in Greater Manchester.

It's our honour to feature one of animation's most legendary figures at Puppet Masters 2020. Join us for this in-depth look at the career of a man whose work has entertained millions of people around the globe.

Phil is an Oscar and Emmy Award-winning visual effects supervisor and producer, specialising in stop motion, creature design and character animation. His career spans over 40 years, with credits including Star Wars, RoboCop and Jurassic Park

Cosgrove Hall Films Archive takes you right back to the basics of animation detailing the processes behind some of the best loved children's animation. The exhibition will break down the most complex Cosgrove Hall series, such as The Wind in the Willows, looking at the finer details of production, with original puppets, costumes, production material and inside stories. The exhibition focuses on stop motion production and techniques, inspiring a new generation of animators to draw inspiration from Cosgrove Hall classics.
